WORK EXPERIENCE

Sports Car Club of America- Volunteer Marshal Development Facilitator: March 2023- Present

  • Act as primary contact and mentor for new race event volunteer prospects connecting them to their local Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Region/Division specialty chiefs and training opportunities through events and the SCCA Academy.

  • Support SCCA Marketing efforts in volunteer marshal recruitment by developing creative and engaging content to help promote the SCCA volunteer marshal opportunities through social channels and at special events with Regions.

 

Parella Motorsports Holdings- Vice President of Event Operations: December 2021- January 2023

  • Oversaw the planning and execution of 20+ Parella Motorsports Holdings events across the United States under the SpeedTour banner featuring five series.

  • Streamlined overall operations of focusing on staffing, travel, and event management. Led weekly management calls to ensure seamless execution of goals and expectations from the company, partner, and participant perspectives.

  • Continued as Championship Manager for the F4 U.S. and FR Americas Championships interfacing with teams, staff, and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) to ensure a safe execution of events; coordinated and maintained sporting and operational regulations and Championships memos, bulletins, and guides; maintained and updated websites.

 

SCCA Pro Racing- General Manager & Senior Manager of Race Operations: April 2018- December 2021

  • Oversaw the operations and administration of SCCA Pro Racing who sanctioned Trans Am Series, F4 U.S. and FR Americas Championships, Radical Cup North America, Formula Race Promotions, and a handful of special events during my tenure

  • Provided Championship and event management of F4 U.S. and FR Americas for four seasons.

  • Managed insurance coverage and claims for SCCA Pro Racing sanctioned series and events.

  • Streamlined and documented processes for ease of execution in future years including emergency action plans, sanctioned series resource guides, and operations manuals.

  • Assisted with planning and execution of sanctioned special events at various venues

  • Worked with the Presidents of SCCA Pro Racing and SCCA, Inc., and Finance Director on a yearly balanced budget.

  • Overhauled the design and content of the SCCA Pro Racing website.

 

Circuit of the Americas- Event Logistics and Operations Management Specialist: August 2015-November 2019

  • Provided operational and logistical leadership support for professional and club racing events.

  • For all events attended: coordinated event staffing recruitment, oversaw registration and transportation for marshals and support staff; provided general logistical support to operations team; served as Race Control Coordinator.

MSR Houston- Events & Driving Schools Manager: August 2007-April 2018

  • Developed curriculums and wrote student and instructor manuals for all schools and corporate events.

  • Instructed, managed, and led team-building corporate events, performance driving schools, SCCA Competition License schools, and various driving safety schools, including teen, law enforcement, and corporate.

  • Recruited, trained, maintained, and led instructor team for private lessons, events, and schools.

  • Oversaw and coordinated the public relations and marketing the facility; represented MSR Houston at various chamber and community functions throughout the greater-Houston area.

  • Planned and executed member events at the facility, around the greater-Houston area, and abroad including socials, races, track days, and road trips.

Sports Car Club of America (SCCA)- SCCA Women on Track Liaison & Committee Member: January 2021- January 2023

  • Acted as an independent consultant staff liaison for the initiative that strives to expand involvement of women in all facets of SCCA programs through participation, volunteering, and leadership. Spearheaded the March Women on Track Facebook showcase of 31 women in the SCCA.

 

Indianapolis Modern Quilt Guild- Various Roles: January 2020- December 2023

  • Served on the programming and retreat committees to assist with planning and executing monthly meetings, workshops, and the bi-annual retreats and interfacing with industry partners for collaborations and donations.

  • Served as a board member for two years and oversaw website and email communications, assisted in leading the meetings, developing and leading programing, and assisted with coordinating the Quiltcon Community Outreach quilt.

 

Houston Modern Quilt Guild- Various Roles: January 2015- April 2018

  • Served as VP of Communications: managed communications to the guild, document meetings and events through photos, sharing images and written in emails, social media, and websites.

  • Served as Retreat Coordinator: planned and coordinated the bi-annual retreats. Duties included establishing a budget with pricing, creating registration forms, scheduling team-building activities, interfacing with retreat locations, and reaching out to industry partners for donations.

  • Served as Meet-Up Coordinator: organized the annual gathering during the International Quilt Festival. Duties included establishing a budget, coordinating and interfacing with the venue, managing volunteer team, and reaching out to industry partners for donations.

 

MSR Houston Charities- Founding Officer and Event Coordinator: December 2009- Present

  • Helped establish the non-profit organization to raise awareness and support for charities giving back the local community (Harris and Brazoria Counties) that do not receive national funding.

  • Planned and coordinated biannual Race 4 Charity races; managed marketing and online registration for R4C events.

  • Continue to provide admin support for additional events.

 

Houston Region SCCA- Regional Executive & Assistant Regional Executive- Road Racing: August 2007-April 2018

  • Served as Regional Executive for the Houston Region (2016-2018) and lead the Board of Directors to make decisions for the betterment of the club and its participants.

  • Previously served as the Assistant Regional Executive-Road Racing and Race Chairman (2007-2017), handling the planning, paperwork, budgets, preparation, and execution for all local Road Racing events at MSR Houston and Texas World Speedway.

  • Served as the Race Chairman for Grand Prix of Houston (2013 & 2014) and INDY Grand Prix of Louisiana (2015) working with the event promoters to ensure the facility was prepared for racing and coordinated corner marshals, firefighters, safety staff, logistical support team, and membership marketing team.
